Bryon K. Williams
Bryon serves as the Lead Organizer for Churches United for Justice, where he brings a deep commitment to equity, community power, and faith-rooted action. A native of Kansas City, KS, Bryon has over a decade of experience building relationships and partnerships across Kansas and Missouri to expand college access for disenfranchised and working-class communities. He has led strategic outreach efforts, shaped diversity initiatives, and helped secure over $500,000 in support for student scholarships and community programs. Bryon previously served in leadership roles at Kansas State University and currently works with DART’s national network of justice ministries.

Toria Freeman
Toria serves as the Nonprofit Assistant for Churches United for Justice, bringing creativity, organization, and a deep sense of purpose to our communications, marketing, and social media efforts. Since joining the team in May 2025, she has supported the ministry’s mission with a strong commitment to community engagement and storytelling.
A proud Kansas City native, Toria is an alumna of Sumner Academy of Arts and Science and Kansas State University. Her passion for justice work is rooted in both her professional experience and her lifelong dedication to uplifting her community.
Toria believes in the power of using one’s gifts to serve others—a principle she lives out daily through her work and personal life. As reflected in 1 Peter 4:10: “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others.”
